Looking for relatable mental health bloggers? I’ve got you covered!
I’ve pulled together a list of just six of the amazing girls out there talking all things wellness, mental health and everything in between. There are tonnes more out there. And with mental health having less stigma attached to it, with campaigns such as #TimeToTalk Day spreading more awareness, these girls just continue to help people understand that it’s okay to talk about it.
It’s not for everyone, no, I get that. However, as a subject I am personally passionate about I thought it would be nice to share with you which blogs I read.
Check them out and let me know what you think.
Ok, so not only is Beth genuinely beautiful, she is hilarious! Her Instagram stories are on point. I believe I started catching all of her Instagram stories around the same time she did an unboxing and review of her new vacuum cleaner. GOALS! Haha.
Obviously, that is not why you’re here. Beth also has written some of the best, well-written posts that would fall in to the mental health and wellness category. When she wrote about our obsession with being busy all the time, it really struck a cord with me. The girl is just real and in all honesty, if you’re not reading her blog yet, you should be.
She is real life talk with comedy and a bit of glamour thrown in too.
You know when you’re having those days that you just have such low self esteem, nothing seems to be going right and you just want to tuck in to bed, close the door and lock out the world? Yeah. Those days.
There’s something about, Isabella Roses’ posts that ignite a fire in my belly. That little glimpse that gives me an imaginary kick up the bum. She has such a way with words that just make you realise you’re not the only one. The only one to be feeling that way. And she tweets things every single day that just need to be preached!
Written by the very talented Han from the South East, Wellness and Wander is the place to be if you want to read all things fitness, lifestyle, health and she has some serious real talk.
From the very important #SmearForSmear to explaining what 24 hours with Anxiety looks like, Han covers all sorts and has even recently launched her very own e-book ‘Mindfulness for Anxiety’ which I plan on reading in the near future.
So, in the grand scheme of things, I’ve only just recently discovered the lovely Maud and her incredible blog. I first discovered Maud over on Twitter where she shares such lovely, inspiring tweets every single day.
She continues this positivity over on her blog covering affirmations, coping tips for those with anxiety and even gives out pep talks! I often find myself heading to Maud’s blog when I need reminding of certain things. That little motivation speech that you’d probably only hear from a motivational speaker, that what I get from her blog.
Eeek, I have really only just discovered Lauren’s blog.
And boy am I glad I have!
Lauren talks so openly about her personal experiences. The first post during her Blogtober series titled ‘Who does she think she is?’ has some of the most relatable content I have personally read. Her words just go to prove that you can do anything you set your mind to.
Being open, honest and authentic is the best thing a blogger in the mental health category can do. It makes their words so relatable.
I first discovered Cat’s blog over on twitter when her post ‘What my therapist has taught me in 6 months’ caught my eye. Having been to see one myself it was refreshing to see what someone else had taken from the experience. It’s totally vulnerable but incredibly relatable. Even if you’re considering going to therapy, posts like this should help you conclude that it will be beneficial.
And that’s it!
I find myself getting more involved with the blogging community and reading more and more blogs. If you’ve enjoyed this roundup please do let me know, I think I’d love to do some more in the future!
